Olympic Pool in Gdynia - sustainable architecture
The project envisages complementing the grounds of Gdynia Sports Center with the missing Olympic-sized swimming pool and jumping pool. Bearing in mind high costs of maintaining such an object, it was designed as a sustainable building, that uses renewable energy sources. It is equipped with double facades, buffer zones, long and short term stone heat storages, photovoltaic panels, solar collectors and rainwater tanks.
Museum of Sailing in Gdynia
The concept envisages the creation of the Sailing Museum at the top of the former transshipment pier, which has been converted into the public space for housing and service development. An integral part of the project and also a piece on the exhibit is the ship "Dar Pomorza", which currently serves as a floating museum. The unit would be housed inside a glass-covered dry doc that could also serve as an exhibition.
